Integrating the Best History Resources on the Web (Part II)
This second session focuses on select applications of classroom-tested technology in the history and social studies classroom. Examples highlight both inquiry-based and research-oriented technology applications in World History, World Cultures, United States History, and Civics for middle school, high school, and college. This session will draw heavily on resources from The Center for Teaching History With Technology. Participants will learn:

  • collaborative activities, project-based research, games and quizzes for history and social studies courses
  • the best resources created by teachers, history organizations, educational institutions and others.
  • how to find the best inquiry-based history activities: an examination of the best history-oriented Web Quests and other activity-oriented sites.

Teaching With Technology: Lesson Plan Preparation and Implementation (Part III)
Participants will prepare and review their own technology-based history and social studies lesson plans. Templates will be provided that can help shape effective and engaging lessons. Technical trouble-shooting and classroom management issues will also be addressed. Participants will:
